Sunday, April 3
Derby Bout

Monday, April 4
Opening day; we will hosting discussion groups and workshops throughout the day on subversive Girlie feminism and how to respond to pop culture as feminists--or even simply sane, rational people. Later, we will focus on the riot grrrl movement and the anthropological and feminist aspects of fashion.

Tuesday, April 5
Think of this as our relaxing, Earth Mama morning-after from our aggressive Monday; we will discuss eco-feminism, women’s alternative health, and the feminism of spirituality.

Wednesday, April 6
The Festival gets crafty! With an enormous, multi-table, multi-room craft fair and subsequent crafty how-tos from select visiting art stars, we are currently accepting applications for tablers for our art blow-out. Fe-mail us at Femvolution.msu@gmail.com for more.

Thursday, April 7
Get ready to start your weekend the Femme way! Thursday will focus on the female body in all its current incarnations: the body as politic, as art, and as work. During the day, we will hold discussion groups on feminism and sex work, burlesque, and how to make sex sex-y again, in a blatantly sexualized culture. Later in the evening, we will be hosting a lecture on the history and resurgence of neo-burlesque--prompting and answering the question, Can the naked female body be celebrated as empowering, or is female sensuality inextricably linked to objectification? We will also be offering private workshops for MSU students, at a discounted price, to learn all the classic burlesque moves... from professional burlesque dancer. Then, after talking about burlesque, andlearning burlesque, join us for a burlesque SHOW with a professional burlesque troupe!

Friday, April 8
Don't get us wrong, we could party all month long, but Friday marks our last day on campus... so we'll be transitioning from the campus life to the "real world" in a day of performances and activist activation. There will be film screenings and performance art all day long. And once you're all riled up, hop in on one of our workshops on activism, featuring a talk for nearly everyone, no matter what stage of activism they're on.

Saturday, April 9
For our final night, we will open the mic to you! With all the art pieces donated by MSU students by and about women, an off-campus coffee shop will be transformed into a female-friendly art space for a night of slam poetry and performance pieces. We are currently accepting questions and/or applications from any interested poets and performers. We will also be including readings from the feminist zine.
